This is quite an interesting little museum where they display exhibits of extraordinary individuals, like a giant over 2.7 meters tall, women with bound feet from the late Qing Dynasty, stories from the Long Neck Village, and so on. Whether you believe it or not is up to you! They also have some interactive games you can play. It takes about a little over an hour to go through.

Next door, there’s a 7D shooting cinema. There are two types of museum tickets: one that includes the 7D shooting experience and one that doesn’t. The shooting has a scary version and a non-scary version. We chose the scary version, but in the end, it wasn’t all that scary. It’s quite fun, though. After having fun, you can also go across to the Paradise Centre for some shopping.

We’ve passed by this place countless times, and in the past few years coming to the Gold Coast, we thought it was just an arcade! It wasn’t until this time when I finally bought a ticket and stepped inside that we realised there was more to it!

There are three major parts to check out:

The Mirror Maze

This is a hundred times more fun than the mirror maze exhibition at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney. It not only has mirrors but also incorporates lighting to make it more challenging. Even the floor is mirrored, enhancing the overall atmosphere. We failed the challenge; we inexplicably ended up back where we started both times, haha. But making it out is already quite an achievement.

The Museum

Here, they have gathered many incredible people, things, and scientific discoveries from around the world. Since it’s all about oddities, We won’t spoil it too much for you; you have to see it for yourself. When you walk up the stairs in the museum, each step is a piano key, and when you step on it, it plays a piano note – super cool!

7D Cinema

Sitting in a small movie theatre, it’s like entering a game where you become a player and have to complete missions with your team. It’s full of excitement and thrills, and your participation is very high. You must definitely try it out!

It’s right on Surfers Paradise’s pedestrian street, so if you have the time, you absolutely should visit.
