Pod Playground
It’s been two weeks since the kids started school, and time has flown by. During this student holiday in September, we took the kids to Canberra and explored several new places. Let’s start by introducing the ceiling of a playground, the Pod Playground.
The hazelnut-shaped slide is quite distinctive, and each of the small compartments shaped like sea cucumbers contains different play equipment. There are also swings, making it a great place to take kids on the weekend.
This playground is designed with exceptional creativity. It consists of several acorns that are arranged at different heights, forming slides of varying difficulty levels to cater to the needs of children of different ages.
At the end of the playground, there’s a rope climbing structure designed like a ship, suitable for both older and younger kids. At the entrance, there’s a sandpit with a few small houses on top. The overall design is very unique, blending seamlessly with nature.
As you enter the playground, there’s a small, clean, and spacious restroom where you can also change clothes.
For parking, the area has a paid parking lot at the botanical gardens. However, it’s free after 4:00 p.m. We arrived around that time, so we saved on parking fees.
This playground is located within the Canberra Botanic Gardens, so while the kids play, moms can immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the surrounding landscapes. There’s also a café within the botanical gardens where you can grab a coffee and have a chat. A couple of hours can easily slip by. This place provides a win-win situation for both adults and kids. If you ever visit Canberra, we highly recommend checking it out!
