Lincoln Square Playground
Melbourne has so many free parks and playgrounds. We used to park near Melbourne Uni on weekends, passing by Lincoln Park countless times. This time, while visiting the city, we let the kids have some fun at Lincoln Square. Little Buddha, who’s not even three, played for two hours that afternoon and didn’t want to go home.
This Lincoln Square, which we recently discovered, was opened to the public in 1907 and is one of Melbourne’s earliest urban playgrounds!
The playground features rope bridges, small log cabins, slides, swings, treehouses, restrooms, and barbecue and picnic areas.
What sets it apart is that all the recreational equipment is made of natural wood, providing a great opportunity to get close to nature. Parents who love taking photos can capture some beautiful shots.
The square offers many climbing facilities over three meters high and large slides, all while being quite safe, making it a great place to build children’s confidence.
There are parking spaces all around the square, but it depends on your luck.
The Rainbow Noodles restaurant is just a five-minute walk away. After playing, you can go there for noodles and then return home comfortably.
We feel it’s suitable for children aged three and above to climb.
