Funtopia Carrum Downs
Winter outings with kids can be quite limited, especially when the little ones are too young for outdoor activities due to the chilly weather. So, we decided to visit the indoor playground, Funtopia, at Carrum Downs.
The cafe here is fantastic! They offer a more extensive selection compared to typical playgrounds, and the food tastes great. And we highly recommend their beef burger – it’s very filling!
They have different areas are suitable for kids of different ages. There’s also a fantastic rock climbing zone for older children.
They even have coin-operated indoor go-karts for children. It’s super kid-friendly and easy to operate. Even for my younger child, she was able to drive one herself.
There is an ocean-themed Party Room. The wall with the ocean projections is quite entertaining, as the fish on the wall move when touched. My younger child spent a lot of time in this party room. It would also be a great option for birthday parties!
We arrived at 11 am and stayed until 4 pm. The kids didn’t want to leave, and it was a full day of fun!
Admission is only for kids, and adults get in for free! We visited on a weekday, and for kids aged 1-2, it’s $10, and for those 3 and older, it’s $16. If you want to try rock climbing, it might be a bit more expensive, but it’s definitely worth it for a full day of fun.
Besides being a bit far from us, there’s really nothing else to complain about.
If you’re looking to have a full day of indoor fun with your kids, this is definitely the right choice!
