Diamond Creek Regional Playspace
Diamond Creek Regional Playspace opened in 2020, with a particularly large area.
It’s divided into two sections: the entrance area is more suitable for older children, and there’s a smaller section in the back for younger kids.
We absolutely love the super-sized sandbox, which has a unique design. It’s enclosed by wooden fences and features little sand-moving carts (actually, they’re mining carts) on top. You can use various tools along the way to load and unload the sand, drawing inspiration from Diamond Creek’s gold mining history!
They cleverly placed the water play facilities inside little wooden huts, making it a great way to stay cool in the summer.
Another highlight is its Tram Café, an old retired W-class tram that has been restored and placed in a corner of the park, serving as a coffee shop. It’s a real lifesaver for parents bringing their kids in the morning!
The picnic area is quite spacious, with several barbecue spots. If you find the grassy area too sunny, you can seek shade under the large trees in the back.
