At Brighton Dance Academy, we believe that classical ballet is the foundation of all dance styles. We are very fortunate to have some of Melbourne’s leading ballet teachers providing ballet classes in many different forms.

Our ballet school offers ballet for beginners of any age, with classes available to suit all levels of ability. Students can commence dance classes from the age of 3, with our Kinder Ballet classes offering a fun and creative dance environment.

Students looking to take ballet seriously can work their way through the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus, it is a world renowned syllabus offering examinations from Pre-Primary up to professional level exams and opportunities to participate in world class ballet competitions.

For students wanting to do recreational ballet and who do not wish to do exams, Brighton Dance Academy offers Junior Ballet, Pre-Intermediate Ballet, Bronze Ballet and Silver Ballet These are energetic once a week ballet classes and don’t have an exam commitment.

Brighton Dance Academy (BDA) provides Melbourne dance classes to all ages and abilities from beginner to pre-professional level. We believe in nurturing students and pride ourselves on the positive culture within our school. BDA has a wide range of dance classes that cater to girls and boys, children, teens and adults. Styles offered include Jazz, Hop Hop, Contemporary, Tap, Acro and Contortion. We also offer Boys only dance classes.

Our students learn dance through participating in lessons that are catered to their level and ability. Beginner dance classes are available to students at any age, with a focus on building a love of dance through basic technique, and using strength and flexibility to build body and spatial awareness.

Advanced dance classes are catered to students who have many years of dance training and are technically proficient. Extension classes, troupes and solo competition opportunities are also offered to our most promising students through invitation.

Brighton Dance Academy teaches the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet syllabus and Southern Federation of Dance (SFD) jazz syllabus.
