First Lap Swim Voucher – How to Apply and Redeem

Do you know if you have kids aged 3 to 6 years (and if they are not enrolled in school), you can apply for a $100 First Lap Voucher towards the cost of swimming lessons (if you are resident of NSW). In this post, we will take you through all the details about the voucher so you know how you can apply and where you can use them!

Where you can use First Lap Voucher

Similar to Creative Kids Voucher, you can’t just use it anywhere you want, instead it has to meet the following requirements:

  • You can use it for a program of AT LEAST 5 structured and swimming lessons, please note they cannot be intensive daily or regular weekly lessons
  • You can only use it at participating businesses that is an approved First Lap Voucher provider
  • You need to use it before it expires. In 2023, the First Lap Voucher will expire on 30 Jun.

How to Apply for First Lap Voucher?

The good news is it isn’t difficult at all! You just need to follow a few simple steps in order to apply online.

  1. Check your eligibility requirements.
  2. Click the Apply Online button which you can find at the bottom of the page
  3. It will require you to log in, or create your MyServiceNSW Account.
  4. Follow the prompts to apply for the voucher. 

Now you have the voucher, how can you use and redeem it?

As mentioned above, you can only use your First Lap Voucher with an approved/ participating swimming provider. You can in fact find the full list of approved providers near you on the government website.

Once you have found a local swimming provider, all you need to do is to log in to your Service NSW app on your phone. In there, select “Voucher”. Click “First Lap Voucher” and present the voucher (the QR code) for the swimming provider to scan at payment!

If you do not have a phone or mobile device, don’t worry you can print the voucher out and use the printed copy instead.
