Is it your first time playing an escape room or you have done a few but didn’t manage to escape, here are the top tips to help you beat your next escape room!
Share all the clues you found with your teammates
Some puzzles or locks require multiple clues and items to solve, if you find a clue, make sure you let your teammates know so you don’t waste time looking for things that your team has already found!
Looking for something that looks different
You will see those 4 digits lock a lot in escape room. To open the lock you will need to find the 4 digits and put them in the correct order. If you are having issues finding the numbers, you can try the things below.
- Check if anything that is capitalised, for example, did you find something like FIVE or SEVEN on a piece of papers
- Count something, sometimes you may find a clue that mentions a few objects, if that is the case you can try to find and count how many of them in the room
UV torch light
If you find a torch light that has a purple light, it is likely that you have found an UV torch. The UV torch is there to help you find hidden codes and clues. You can sometimes find the hidden clues with your UV torch on the wall or on an object like a box. Make sure you use the UV torch in dark environment.
Magnets
If you find something that has a magnets or has magnets inside, it is likely that you will need to use it to pull something like a key out a hole or wall.
If you have found 3 out of 4 digits, you can guess the last digit to save time
Some puzzles can take a long time to find out a correct digit, such as those ones that require some maths calculations. If you have already figured out the 3 digits, you can guess the remaining one just to buy you some time for the next puzzles.
