Jazz dancing may be regarded as a combination of dance styles that originate from musical theatre and dancing to modern music. Jazz takes technique from Classical Ballet and applies it to a modern, dynamic music style to create a lively strength based dance form.

All students have the opportunity to progress through the Southern Federation of Dance (SFD) jazz syllabus. Working through the syllabus progresses students systematically through basic jazz movements while developing a strong jazz technique and flair for style.

Open classes develop student’s complex technique in pirouettes, jumps and acrobatic-style jazz movements. Open classes challenge students to pick up choreography and prepare students for competitions, performances and auditions.
