Flo & Ada – English High Tea in Strathalbyn

Flo & Ada - English High Tea in Strathalbyn

On the weekend, we drove about an hour from Adelaide to explore the antique shops on the historic High Street in Strathalbyn. Surprisingly, we discovered a cozy tea house in this small town.

The tea served here is traditional English afternoon tea, and the tea sets are quite charming. We ordered two cups of tea and two pastries, and the total was just over $20.

The experience and food

Peach Blush – A fruit tea blend of peach and apple with a pink tea base. The fruity aroma is refreshing and sweet; it should be excellent as an iced tea as well.

MelBourne Moments – A tea with chocolate and caramel flavours! The taste is rich, smooth, and delightful!

Pastries – For the pastries, we chose a scone with added onions. It’s savoury, super soft, and tastes great with butter. Another interesting way to enjoy it is with chili sauce, providing a unique taste, but I still prefer it with butter!

We also tried a lemon brownie, with a strong lemon fragrance that pairs exceptionally well with the homemade cream.

The staff is super friendly, and they let me smell many tea varieties. The food was unexpectedly delicious, and the prices are reasonable. If you’re exploring the Antique Town, it’s worth stopping by for a visit!
