Grinstead Park
Not far from Brisbane’s city centre, in the north near Stafford City, you’ll find a hidden gem of a recently renovated children’s facility – Grinstead Park. We hadn’t been here since the renovation started, and today we decided to take the kids for a stroll, leaving everyone at home thoroughly impressed.
There’s a large wooden playground featuring more than the usual slides, swings, trampolines, and so on. It offers a unique musical play experience for children. What’s particularly special about this playground is how well it combines facilities for little kids and older kids.
Our favourite part, apart from the playground, is the traffic rule roadway at the back. This design is just fantastic; kids can learn quite a bit about Australian traffic rules by riding bikes, skateboards, or rollerblades here. The whole design is incredibly thoughtful and lovely.
For the Adults, there’s quite a bit of fitness equipment, a full basketball court, squash courts, and a morning running track – very considerate indeed.
Additionally, the park has several BBQ shelters, providing a safe spot for adults to keep an eye on their kids.
