National Transport & Toy Museum
If you are coming to New Zealand, you should not miss this unique toy store. It has this plain and unremarkable entrance, but inside it, it hides immense surprises. This is a place that car enthusiasts, aeroplane enthusiasts, and kids must not miss!!!
There are a total of three halls to visit, each showcasing a variety of vintage cars, vintage aeroplanes, vintage toys, and various retro items. Each vintage item comes with its own story (each exhibit has its explanation and story)!
Originally thought we’d spend about 20 minutes browsing, but unexpectedly, we spent over an hour here. There are so many beautiful vintage cars, Barbie dolls, and many other things to see! And the ticket is only 20 New Zealand dollars.
On the way to Queenstown, you will pass the National Transport & Toy Museum. This toy store showcases treasures from various eras, from a small piece of LEGO toy to a complete aeroplane from decades ago.
From this museum, you can see the entire history of human transportation development.
Toy enthusiasts must not miss out – there are limited edition vintage car models, and more than 60,000 toys of all kinds are available. Buying one as a souvenir is truly meaningful. Kids also love the vintage childhood rocking cars in the store, a small vehicle filled with several decades of a nation’s changes.
